Description
Papaz (Green Plum) Sapling is one of Türkiye’s most popular early-season plum varieties, highly valued for its strong market demand during spring. Its crisp texture and refreshing tart flavor make it especially popular for fresh consumption. All our saplings are certified, true-to-type, and disease-free.
The tree has a vigorous, spreading, and densely branched growth habit. It grows rapidly with medium upright development and produces quality fruit regularly under proper care. Our saplings are available on Myrobolan 29C and classic wild rootstocks.
* Myrobolan 29C rootstock: Provides strong root development and excellent soil adaptability.
* Classic wild rootstock: Offers durable, vigorous, and long-lasting growth.
The fruits are medium-sized and considered large among green plum varieties, averaging around 25–30 grams. Fruits are round with a pronounced suture line. The skin is thin, glossy dark green, and slightly smoky in appearance. The flesh is green, very juicy, fibrous, and crisp. The pit is clingstone.
The flavor profile is tart, crunchy, and refreshing, making it ideal for fresh consumption. Fruits should be marketed quickly after harvest.
Although partially self-fertile, higher productivity is achieved when planted with Havran, Aynalı, Santa Rosa, Black Amber, or Larry Ann pollinators.
Blooming usually occurs in early April, while harvest season extends from late April to mid-May.
