Description
Stanley (Birton) Plum Sapling is a California-origin European plum variety widely recognized for its commercial value, consistent productivity, and versatile usage. It is highly preferred for both fresh consumption and dried prune production. All our saplings are certified, true-to-type, and disease-free.
The tree has a medium-vigorous, semi-upright spreading growth habit. With proper orchard management, it provides regular and high yields. Our saplings are available on Myrobolan 29C and classic wild rootstocks.
* Myrobolan 29C rootstock: Provides strong roots and excellent adaptability.
* Classic wild rootstock: Offers vigorous, durable, and long-lasting growth.
The fruits are oval-shaped with eggplant purple-blue skin over a green background. The surface has a natural waxy bloom. The flesh is yellow, fine-textured, juicy, and aromatic. Its sweet and balanced flavor makes it highly desirable for fresh markets. Sugar levels may reach 15β18Β° Brix.
The pit is medium-sized and semi-clingstone. The fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and drying.
This variety is self-fertile, although planting with President or Valor varieties may improve productivity.
Harvest season extends from August 30 to September 15. Due to its cold tolerance, the variety adapts well to many growing regions.
