Description

Angeleno Plum Sapling is a USA-origin late-season plum variety widely preferred for commercial production thanks to its high productivity, large fruit size, and long storage life. It is especially suitable for export markets and long shelf-life requirements. All our saplings are certified, true-to-type, and disease-free.

The tree has a vigorous and semi-spreading growth habit. It is highly productive and delivers premium fruit quality under proper orchard management. Our saplings are available on Myrobolan 29C and classic wild rootstocks.

* Myrobolan 29C rootstock: Provides strong root structure and excellent adaptability.
* Classic wild rootstock: Offers vigorous, durable, and long-lasting growth.

Due to its low chilling requirement, the variety may experience early bud break in regions exposed to warm winter temperatures during January and February. Therefore, it may be sensitive to late frosts occurring after flowering.

The fruits are considered among the larger plum varieties. They are round, slightly flattened from both ends, asymmetrical, and feature a pronounced suture line with a pointed blossom end. The skin is purple with speckled appearance. The flesh is yellow, firm, and durable, while the stone separates easily from the flesh.

The fruits can be stored in cold storage until February–March. Flavor quality improves further if harvest is slightly delayed.

Harvest time is between the 1st and 2nd week of September.

Recommended pollinators include Santa Rosa and Angeleno.
