Description

Williams Pear Sapling (BA 29 rootstock) is an England-origin pear variety and one of the most widely cultivated pears worldwide. It is highly valued for its rich aroma, juicy texture, and versatile use in both fresh consumption and processing industries. All our saplings are certified, true-to-type, and disease-free.

The tree grows vigorous and upright when young, later developing a slower and more spreading habit after fruiting begins. The BA 29 quince rootstock provides semi-dwarf growth, early bearing, and regular productivity. It is well suited for modern orchard systems.

The fruits are medium-sized, thin-skinned, and very juicy. The skin is light green and turns pale yellow when fully ripe. The flesh is creamy white, sweet, aromatic, and highly flavorful. Its distinctive aroma makes it one of the most preferred pear varieties.

Harvest time is between August 22–28. Besides fresh consumption, it is also suitable for drying, canning, and industrial processing.

Recommended pollinators include Akça, Mustafabey, and Comice.
