Description

Etruşka Pear Sapling (BA 29 rootstock) is an Italian-origin early-season pear variety known for its rich aroma, high fruit quality, and strong market advantage. It performs especially well in Mediterranean and Aegean climates. All our saplings are certified, true-to-type, and disease-free.

The tree has a vigorous, semi-upright growth habit with a wide canopy. The BA 29 quince rootstock provides semi-dwarf growth, early bearing, and regular productivity. It adapts well to different soil conditions and is suitable for modern orchards.

The fruits weigh approximately 150–200 grams and have a short conical shape. The skin is green with an attractive red blush. The flesh is juicy, aromatic, fragrant, and offers excellent eating quality.

This variety ripens approximately 5–7 days earlier than Coscia, providing a valuable advantage for early market production.

Harvest time is between June 27 and July 3. Fruits can be stored for approximately 1 month in cold storage.

Recommended pollinators include Santa Maria and Williams.
