Description
Ferragnes Almond Sapling (Garnem rootstock) is a France-origin almond variety widely preferred for commercial production worldwide. Its late blooming habit provides resistance against spring frosts and ensures regular productivity. All our saplings are certified, true-to-type, and disease-free.
The tree has a medium-vigorous, upright-spreading growth habit. Its sparse branching allows good sunlight penetration and easier orchard management. The Garnem rootstock provides a strong root system, drought tolerance, and excellent adaptability to calcareous soils. The variety is also known for early bearing.
The nuts are elongated, slightly flattened, and have a hard shell. The hard shell structure provides excellent transport and storage durability. The kernel is large, light-colored, and high quality. Kernel yield averages around 30β35%. Double kernel formation is very low, approximately 1β2%.
Due to its late blooming characteristic, it is highly suitable for regions prone to spring frosts. Productivity increases significantly when planted together with Ferraduel.
Harvest time is between September 12β18. The variety generally begins fruiting in 2β3 years and provides regular yields.
