Description

Ferraduel Almond Sapling (Garnem rootstock) is a France-origin almond variety widely preferred by professional growers due to its late blooming habit, large kernel size, and high commercial value. It is especially suitable for regions prone to spring frosts. All our saplings are certified, true-to-type, and disease-free.

The tree has a medium-vigorous to vigorous, semi-upright spreading growth habit. The Garnem rootstock provides a strong root system, drought tolerance, and excellent performance in calcareous soils. Early fruiting also offers economic advantages for growers.

The nuts have a hard shell and are suitable for mechanical harvesting. Kernels are very large, light-colored, and sweet. Kernel yield averages around 30–32%. The hard shell structure provides excellent durability during storage and transportation. It is highly demanded for nut production, industrial use, and export markets.

This variety blooms late, providing strong protection against spring frosts. It is not self-fertile. The best pollinator is Ferragnes, while Texas can also be used. Effective bee pollination ensures high fruit set.

Harvest time is approximately September 5–10.
