Description

Granny Smith Apple Sapling is one of the most popular green apple varieties worldwide, known for its vigorous growth, high productivity, and distinctive tart flavor. All our saplings are certified, true-to-type, and disease-free.

The tree has a strong and spreading growth habit. It blooms a few days earlier than Golden Delicious, making proper pollinator selection important in orchard planning. It is well pollinated by Fuji, Red Delicious, and Golden Delicious varieties.

The fruits have a bright green skin with visible white lenticels. The flesh is juicy, crisp, and distinctly tart. During storage, the flavor continues to develop, resulting in a more balanced and aromatic taste. This makes it suitable for both fresh consumption and processing (desserts, salads, juices, etc.).

Harvest time is in October. It can be stored until January in regular cold storage and up to April in controlled atmosphere (CA) storage. It is highly valuable in markets where sour apple demand is strong.
